A great local spot for fresh bread and sandwiches located just outside of Temecula wine country. Highly recommend the breakfast paninis. Either get the garlic or chipotle spread put on your sandwich. You'll love it. Definitely try out their monkey bread or the cinnamon burst bread. It's amazing.

I live in San Diego but I happily make the drive to Temecula just to visit. Their bread is absolutely worth it! My favorites are the Popeye bread and their sourdoughs, you can truly taste and feel the difference compared to store-bought bread. It’s clear they make everything with love and high quality ingredients. The staff is always super friendly and attentive, which makes every visit even better. I also love their sandwiches, I had the chipotle chicken sandwich for lunch and it was just delightful! What really sets this place apart is their heart and thoughtfulness. They have a shelf for those in need where people can grab a loaf of bread if they can’t afford it, ensuring no one goes hungry. It’s such a beautiful gesture from a company that genuinely cares about their community. I recommend them to all my friends!

We've shopped for speciality breads at Great Harvest for the past few years. Though the bakery is not in our neighborhood, it's worth the drive to pick up a few loaves for our home. The bread can be frozen for later use, and when it has defrosted, it retains its quality. Our favorites are the High 5 Grain and Dakota breads. I understand that these breads are made from the same dough, but the seeds that are added make them different. They also make amazing bagels, but their selection and quantity is limited. You would have to pre-order your bagels if you intend to buy for your family. My understanding is that they make their bagels from left over bread dough, so I've not seen more than 6-8 in their display cabinet, usually less. The bagels are a nice sandwich size, with a chewy interior and firm exterior. Their cinnamon bread varieties are amazingly aromatic and simply lovely for a treat or after meal dessert. To add to their dessert options are apple cinnamon swirl loaf, which is wonderful, and cinnamon rolls topped with a decadent icing. I could go on, but it's best if you walk in to experience their store and offerings yourself. I suggest visiting their website before you head over their way to see their baked bread rotation and sandwich menu. Enjoy!

This bakery has been my go-to spot for the past 15 years—and I still can’t get enough! Even though it’s an hour’s drive each way, the moment I walk through those doors and catch that fresh-baked aroma, it’s totally worth it. The sandwiches are incredible, but the real star for me is the Cinnamon Burst bread. It’s my all-time favorite—soft, sweet, and packed with cinnamon in every bite. I never leave with just one loaf. I always grab two so I can freeze one and enjoy the magic a little longer. The consistency, the quality, and the warm, welcoming vibe make this place feel like home every time. If you haven’t tried it yet, trust me—it’s worth the drive.

I tried three things here: the Cinnamon Roll, Zucchini Bread and a loaf of Bacon Cheddar Sourdough Bread. All three were fine but nothing exceptional. Cinnamon rolls are pretty standard these days including this one. Frankly, I think the Pillsbury refrigerated cinnamon rolls you bake yourself are quite comparable and just as delicious. The Zucchini Bread was tasty and made with whole wheat flour. I had the wrong idea that all the baked goods here used whole grain flour. Most don't, which is fine. The Bacon Cheddar Sourdough was also OK, but they put the filling in the middle of the loaf and it made a big whole when the bread was baked. Challenging for sandwiches. The place was very clean and Covid-19 protocols were in place. I liked that they put the bread in a paper bag to keep the crust crispy but also included a plastic bag to put the bread in after a day or two so it doesn't get hard. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Great food and affordable prices. We ordered the Cobb and the veggie sandwiches - both were delicious! We also ordered the cinnamon chip scone - the scone was yummy and the frosting was amazing. The staff is very friendly (and helpful with suggestions), and the atmosphere is quaint and comfortable. I will definitely be going back!

I had mixed feelings about Great Harvest Bread Co. I loved how the inside of this rather sizable bakery was decorated...bright & colorful. It was nice, looking at all the freshly baked goodies & bread, displayed all about the inside here. The baked pastries & cookies within the glass cases looked amazing. I noticed they did not have an espresso machine. Their coffee was in large stainless steel thermos dispensers. My wife & I purchased a Raisin Walnut Cinnamon Roll, & it looked just as spectacular as it tasted...moist, humongous, & covered in cream cheese frosting, sprinkled with raisins & walnuts bits on top. We bought 2 loaves of bread here, a small honey white loaf & full-size sourdough loaf. Each loaf looked pretty aesthetically, but after toasting & tasting a slice of each, at home, we were both sadly disappointed. We agreed that each of these, were just on par with supermarket baked bread of like kinds...nothing more. For a point of reference, we paid over $7 for Great Harvest Bakery's Sourdough Loaf & less than half that for a supermarket sourdough loaf, which, believe it or not, had stronger sourdough flavor. That noted, I'd gladly pay more for designer bread, if I judged it extraordinary. The Great Harvest Honey White Loaf was dense, texture-wise, & nothing stood out about it. The sourdough loaf from Great Harvest had lots of large air pockets throughout, plus I barely got any Sourdough flavor, from my toasted slice. So I was bit torn, regarding this place. I'd definitely get another Cinnamon Roll here, but I probably wouldn't buy any of their fresh-baked bread, unless we tried something different. It was also disappointing Great Harvest Bread Co. didn't make it a priority, to serve a wide variety of fresh brewed coffee drinks & espressos, to wash down their baked goods with. My wife & I thought the person working the counter, who got & rang up our order, was a bit short with us, as well.
